I’m curious how many times a day they clean up head explosions in Jo-Anne Fabrics from innocent non-crafters entering the store just to pick up a pack of glitter for their kid’s science project. I bet it happens more than you think.
A couple of weeks ago I foolishly walked into Jo-Anne’s in search of three simple items. A blank shirt, a blank tote bag, and letters to place on my shirt and bag. Get in, get out, take it home and make it happen. Phff!
It went something like this…….
Jab! I’m immediately hit with Christmas items! (it’s Oct 5th) Uppercut! There’s fabric to the left of me about 30 isles deep! Body blow! Home school teaching stuff (I think). I’m not sure but it was all kinds of yellow and other primary colors that made me feel like a loser parent that doesn’t do enough with my kids.
TOO MUCH!! I’m not a crafty! It hurt and I panicked! I called my crafty coo-coo friend and tried to persuade her to drive across town and save me, but she had already dropped over a hundred dollars the previous day in Jo-Anne’s and she had no self-control to come back without it happening again. I was all alone staring at a rainbow of shirts, letters that you would have to iron on (don’t even own one) and who knows where tote bags were hiding.
I literally threw up some made up stay at home mom gang sign and walked out.
I’m curious my crafty coo-coo readers……What’s your favorite craft store and why?
